How long after you stop taking antibiotics can the side effects last?

Over the past few days the diarrhea has gone away, but I still am having an upset stomach maybe with some cramps and a loose stool.
Is this normal? Can the antibiotics still be upsetting my stomach and stool? Could they have upset the balance of bacteria a bit and how long should it take before I get back to normal?

I get sick from antibiotocs too… I took Acidophilos when I had a root canal because my dentist put me on Amoxicilian (antibiotic). Acidophilos is the good bacteria you have lost by taking medicine that kills all bacteria in your system. You can get it at your local health food store. I even give it to my 9 month old. His pediatrcian reccomended it.
