usually takes about 3 days to get into your system…
do you have pain meds??? take 600 - 800 mgs every 3 - 4 hours for pain

To my knowledge pain killers kill the pain . antibiotics treat the infection in the teeth and take about 24 hours to take effect . but they are not pain killers .

I tell patients that I expect them to be feeling relief in 2 days. If they aren’t then I consider 1)a different antibiotic, or 2)if they have a nerve that is alive but in the process of dying instead of an already dead nerve.
If you are getting worse after 2 days I would contact my dentist.

mine got better after about 3 days…my dentist said that taking pain meds…slows down the effects of the antibiotics…not real sure if this is true…he didn’t give me any pain meds..for this reason

What are you taking? I was on Penacillin first, didn’t work… then Amoxicillin, didn’t work… and now I am on Clyndomicin which seems to be working within 1 day. What are you taking? Give it another day and if it isn’t working, call and see if they can switch it.
