I have a severeeeeeeeeeee ear infection. I've been taking Zithromax for 4 days, it has done NOTHING. My face is swollen, I can barely move my jaw. I'm in so much pain.
I have no insurance and cannot go back to the doctor.

My friend has ear drops called FLOXIN... Will it help my infection? Will it just put more liquid in my ear and make it worse? My ear is swollen shut so no liquid is coming out but i can feel it in there, for over 2 weeks.

I think Floxin is for tubes. If you don’t have tubes in your ear, then don’t put it in there. Go to the ER. They are usually pretty good about working with your payments.

Zithromax is an antibiotic which is usually the best treatment for ear infections. I know it usually takes awhile to work. Even though you stop taking zithromax after 5 days usually it is still working in your system for a total of 10 days. So unfortunately you need to stick out a few more days and see if the antibiotic helps. The drops will likely not do much.
