A dose of 300mg would require 7.5ml of the 200mg/5ml solution.
7.5ml x 4 x 10 = 300ml

7.5mls would give 300mg’s
But that’s awkward!
Much better to make it 150mg / 5ml - and just give 10ml ?

First find out the total amount of dosage you need for the 10 days: 300mg X 4 X10 = 12,000mg
Then 200mg/5mL= 12,000mg/x where x is the vol of 200mg/5mL needed to fill the prescription.
Answer: 300mL
Verify: Will 300 mL of 200mg/5mL = 12,000mg? Yes.
