What causes my allergic reaction to several antibiotics?

Why exactly am I allergic to these antibiotics? What antibiotic would probably be a safe choice to have next time I get an infection?

Hi,
It could be any one of the ingredients and the only way to tell is to go and have some skin/scratch tests with a dermatologist. This will help identify what to keep away from in the future.
I have reacted to all sorts of things over the past fifteen years and I am a long time sufferer of Chronic Urticaria. I started with allergies to antibiotics and have since progressed over the years to now be allergic to extreme heat and cold, feathers, elastic, strong winds, aspirin and brophen.
After having extensive tests and untold prescriptions for different antihistamines I control my severe condition with relaxation techniques taught at:
and I take coarse sea salt on my tongue when I have a breakout of a rash and drink plenty of filtered water. Sea salt is the most natural antihistamine on the planet and Doctors don’t even know about it and what it can do for people who suffer from urticaria/allergy etc.
Hope this helps.

Drug allergies don’t generally happen the first time you take a medication. Although I can’t tell you why your body developed an allergy to these specific medications, allergic reactions occur when your immune system “overreacts” to a drug. Your body views the medication as a foreign invader, and begins to build a specialized antibody against it. These specialized antibodies, called IgE, release histamine to fight off the invader — which is why medication allergies are usually indicated by hives and swelling.
Your allergy to amoxicillin is fairly common. In this case, your best bet is to stay away from any antibiotics in the penicillin family. You can use a cephalosporin, such as Keflex, to replace penicillin. Your doctor can also provide another broad-spectrum antibiotic such as Cipro instead of prescribing Bactrim or Zithromax.
Just make sure that you always have a list of your allergies on your person. Write them down and keep them in your wallet. If you tell your physician your allergies, he/she will be able to prescribe accordingly.

It depends on the infection cause sometimes you dont need to use antibiotics… you could other stuff apart from anitbiotics for infections… I know this may sound weird but it works for me, when I get deep cuts or grazes, I use salt and massage it into the wound of course clean the wound out first with water then sprinkle the salt into the wound and then massage it into the cut and afterwards put a plaster over it and it will heal within 2-4 hrs I knw thats not an infection but I just thought I’d share that with you…
There could be some substance which they use in all antibiotics as a base ingredient in making antibiotics that you could be allergic to thats why.. next time try something with alittle more natural substances… are you allergic to any natural substances??? anything at all??
Email me if you wna talk some more
