Can antibiotics make you start you period or effect it?

it’s pretty likely that was it - antibiotics do weird stuff.

It can make birth control pills less effective and you should use another form of protection until after your next cycle begins. I think for alot of people anytime they take a medication their periods can be effected. I wouldn’t panic though.

I am assuming that you are on the birth control pill, and yes, antibiotics can mess with the pill. Your pharmacist should have told you this as the efficacy of the pill is compromised when taking antibiotics. This is obviously the case with you so use alternate forms of birth control in the future if you are put on antibiotics.

It sounds like it was the antibiotics. And i dont know if your aware of this, but some antibiotics make it so that your birth control doesnt work, so be careful and check with the doctor to see if amoxocillon is one that does.
