I was wondering what antibiotics to take before doing some dental work? I need the name of the antibiotic because I have to tell the doctor in the drugstore. (I don't live in a place where I need to get prescription for medicine and people just buy medicine in the drug stores.. so I'll need the name.) Thanks

I have been taking the antibiotic solodyn for about a month. My last period was September 30th and the one before that September 7th. I still have yet to receive my period. I took a pregnancy test about a week or so ago yet it read negative. Is there still a possibility I'm pregnant?

I haven't been stressing or had any other things that could throw off my period. What's up?

i've heard that the antibiotics would kill both good and bad bacteria in our body. and if we stop taking the antibiotic, pimples would come back. thus, once the antibiotic is taken, i would have to take it constantly. i'm desperate to get rid of my pimples and my friend recommeneded me to see a skin doctor and he/she will give me antibiotics. will it be good?

My son is 13 years old and just finished an antibiotic. The ten day prescription ran out last night. When he woke up this morning he has a rash on his arms, neck, chest, and back. It was not noticeable so I told him to watch it and call me if it gets any worse. An hour later he calls me and it is all over his body and you can see it very clear. His doctor says it is a reaction from the antibiotic. Give him some benadryl and he should be fine. Is this possible?

And when the antibiotic she prescribed ends up causing more problems (like diarrhea, rash, etc), she'd simply prescribe another antibiotic, and the baby would end up taking a different one every week all year long.
What is it with doctors and antibiotics?
I know they're powerful and may end your misery sooner, but I don't think they're supposed to be the first answer to every symptom.
