Do all anitbiotics work pretty much the same? I have appointment with my dermatologist and have been prescribed antibiotics in the past for my acne. I also have a bad cold that I am hoping that some antibiotics with clear up. It comes around once a year and I'm sick for weeks. Congestion, runny nose, coughing etc. I want to ask for one antibiotic to clear up both. Not cipro....cipro doesn't work too well.

I'm about halfway through my antibiotic regimen and up until this morning the diarrhea has only been mild-to-moderate. This morning, I've already had three bouts with it and I feel very weak. Is eating rice a good way to offset some of this diarrhea? What else can I do?
