My normal temperature runs between 96.5-97.5 but for the past two weeks it has been between 98-99.5 my Doctor gave me an antibiotic and I wanted to know how long should it take for my fever to go down? I took the medicine yesterday once and today twice but my fever is still between 98.9-99.3

I was wondering what antibiotics to take before doing some dental work? I need the name of the antibiotic because I have to tell the doctor in the drugstore. (I don't live in a place where I need to get prescription for medicine and people just buy medicine in the drug stores.. so I'll need the name.) Thanks

This post is a response to a question from someone about going into healthcare late in life and in the economic turmoil of today.
I absolutely say go for it, but of course I am biased. There are a couple of aspects to your question. The first one is concerning your age and my answer is that it doesn’t matter. Over thirty really isn’t that far behind. The average age of the students in my class at the beginning of the year was almost 25. I have met several people that are on their second career and some of them are over thirty. We even have one or two people in our first year medical Continue reading

Biaxin
Rissa asked:

We are finding that a severe reaction to biaxin is affecting my mother and we are looking for treatment options, or any information that can help her? She has been to a psychiatrist, he agrees that is a reaction to medicine(not sure if Biaxin?). She literally feels like she is going out of her mind.

We need prescription only for "special" medicines like valium or something but we can buy tylenol, amoxilin, paracetamol and tons of other stuff over the counter. Those are just normal household medicines isn't it?
